Assalamu Alaikum for all my sisters,
I’m a second year medical student who lives with people who belong to other religions. When my friends asking for the meaning of my name every day i replied them saying Sumaiya(RAH) The First Woman Martyr in Islam. I tried to search what the my name means but it is not fruitful until i see ALL THE SUMAIYAS AROUND THE WORLD trying to figure it out. Now i know what my name means…………Jazakallah for you all!!!!!!!!!!!! Exalted, Pure, Moon light and 1st woman Martyr….. Masha Allah…………. i love my name truly inspired.:)))))))

hey…all my name sister out there….all of us sitting in different corners of the world….most of u from arabic nations….welll till now i thought people in arabic nations must be aware of the meaning…but i guess all of us are equally cluless as the author of this blog…..thanks to all u girls now we all hoave some literature to substantiate our names origin….in india i think i am the only sumaiya..(orkut says that) well i have something more intersting to say..

THERE WAS THIS URDU LITERATUR PROFESSOR(HE WAS AN ACQUAINTAINCE) I MET HIM IN HIS LAST DAYS…TOLD HIM MY NAME AND THAT I DONT KNOW ITS MEANING HE TOLD ME IT MEANS MOON LIGHT….. SO MAY BE WE CAN RELATE THE THREE MEANINGS WHICH WE HAVE FOR OUR NAMES : THAT IS HIGH ABOVE, PURE AND MOONLIGHT…. AND CONCUDE WITH IT….M SO HAPPY TO KNOW U ALL SISTERS…..TAKE CARE….GOD BLESS U ALL SUMAIYAS AND ME TOO…M ELATED WITH THE THOUGHT THAT THERE ARE SO MANY OF US WHO SHARE THIS NAME

One of my Schoolmate had this Name ” SUMAIYA “…. The Name Inspired me Very Much when I got the fact that it was the name of the first woman martyr in Islam (brutally murdered )….

SUMAIYA,The First Woman Martyr in Islam bcoz of the Strong belief she had in ALLAH and the Ways of ALLAH’s Messenger Prophet Muhammed(Peace be upon Him)….. Truly Inspiring!!!!!!!
